Campus Building Evaluations

Timberhood Consulting provided a comprehensive evaluation of several buildings at a university in Georgia to evaluate indoor air quality given the ASHRAE guidelines following Covid-19 protocols. The assessment included a condition assessment of the building mechanical systems and load calculations with outside air requirements. The study further provided options, considerations and recommendations to enhance the existing systems or provide new systems to accommodate ventilation requirements. Some of the implemented recommendations included addition of 100% conditioned make up air to the classrooms to help the ventilation with effective airflow patterns and the use of highly efficient particle filtration in centralized HVAC systems.
