Downtown Office Building

Timberhood Consulting, LLC, provided design services for the boiler replacement and HVAC upgrades for this 42-story downtown Atlanta building. This project was a design-bid-build project.

Our team designed new high efficiency domestic water boilers that served floors 2-17 located in the sub-basement mechanical room and a second system that served floors 18-42, located in the upper mechanical room.

Timberhood also provided design for two (2) new high efficiency hot water circulating boilers (approx. 9.5 million BTUs) and two (2) new plate and frame heat exchangers to be located on the 42nd floor that served floors 30-40.

Scope of project included heat load calculations to validate heating requirements, replacement of two existing Scotch Marine fire tube steam boilers and replaced with three new high efficiency water tube steam boilers (approx. 12 million BTU each) and specifying updated a Building Automation System to support the new systems.
